Woke up to power being out this morning. I went back to sleep and mom went up to the picu to pump and check on RT.
I headed up slightly later than normal.
Surgeon stopped by, said everything is looking good.
RT is doing good, they decided to put him back on 1/8th liter per minute, but because he needs it, but because the Pulmonologist didn’t write orders to be lower than 1/8th he will be in tomorrow.
At 1200 bumped up to full feeds, plain breast milk, we will fortify tomorrow.
1330 he pooped all on his own! First time in a month, but runny. Likely because his food is not fortified, makes it easier on him.
Hopefully he contines pooping even though it will get fortified, maybe it’s a lot easier now with hernia repaired.
He’s angry when he gets hungry, about a half hour to 45 minutes before his next feeding.
Lots of binky dips to help calm him.
I hold him and he relaxes and falls asleep finally.
Put him back in bed after 2 hours.
Good boy. He sleeps a bit longer then wakes up.
Fussy boy every few minutes.
Just some tylenol every 6 hours, tough little boy!
Everyone is absolutely blown away with how well he has done!
Not too much holding us at the hospital anymore, feeding and some appointments and being able to safely do a few weeks between the next appointment as an outpatient.
There is a big talk tomorrow between all the doctors to get a better idea of timing, dot i’s cross T’s.
Mom gave them a list of doctors and specialists we have gotten from friends that are recomended.
Oh and by the way. Since I haven’t mentioned it yet on the blog…. moving from Alaska to Florida after discharge so that we will be someplace RT can get the care and specialists he needs!
Today was mostly a try and keep calm recover from surgery and heal day.
He calmed down quick for the most part so that’s good.
Keep on doing what your doing and blowing everyone away.
Everyone has called it a miracle how far you have progressed, and how fast you were back at the same respiration support as before surgery.
Almost like nothing happened!
Strongest fighter!
So much love!
