More monday appointments. Cerclage holding. Length back up to 2.2 cm! Baby is looking good! 2.2 = 20% chance spontaneous labor. We just need 4 more days to hit 24 weeks.

Bleeding is nearly gone. 6 days till 24 weeks.

0700 wake up to some light blood this morning. 5 days after surgery. We put a call in to hospital. They tell us they will call back and see if they can get triage appointment. I decide to drive us to hospital and make sure we don’t hit morning Seattle traffic incase things change quick as they have in the past. We arrive and are able to get an emergency ultrasound within 15 minutes. Cervix has shortened to 1.4 cm again our baby boy is looking healthy still. 

We are doing everything we can do, bed rest, medications at regular times. Nothing more can be done but pray keep her mind off everything to try and stay relaxed. 

Praying for baby to stay in. We need to hit 24 weeks! Then I can get greedy and ask for more time. One and a half weeks to go.  

Parenatologist says he knows if he told momma to do handstands 24/7 she would.

Monday has arrived! 5 more appointments today. Cervical length measured at 2.7! What a rollercoaster. Friends back home have been helping us out with the house. Cleaned out the fridge and checking mail! Great to have a support system. Can’t imagine going through this without one. 

I impatiently wait for the wifes status to update on the TV in the surgery waiting room still not knowing if the surgeon will be able to put in any more stitches safely.

Dr. says we can not go back up to Alaska for the remainder of pregnancy due to risks and level of care available. I Started doing some Google research to see research shows average cervical length is 3.5 cm at 24 weeks. With a 1.5 cm cervical length it is close to 50% chance of spontaneous labor. Less than 2.2 is a 20% chance of spontaneous labor.

​Ultrasound shows Cervix shortened. Placement of the cerclage was good, stitches still holding. 

The next few hours were a blur, cervix was at 1.1 cm long. Worry of infection causing shortening, amino test. <!–more–>

Amino looks ok, final results in a week. Admitted to hospital, emergency cerclage revision the next morning if possible. 

Told we need to keep baby in till 24 weeks for a better chance possibility of an acceptable outcome. So scared about what happened last time but I have faith that he is strong and will stay inside.
