Originally from California. In 2009 while trying to enlist in the Coastguard and become an Aviation Maintenance Technician, I met a wonderful, caring woman who is now my wife. I followed her to Washington state where she completed her education while I went off to boot camp, became stationed in Hawaii, then attended my advanced training in Elizabeth City NC to graduate as an Aviation Maintenance technician. I got my first pick and we were sent off to the great state of Alaska.
2013 we were finally reunited and living together after having a long distance relationship for the past few years.
2015 We decided to begin a family. We went to a routine ultrasound appointment and were delighted in being told the gender of our baby! It was a girl! A short 15 minutes and one room later we were told momma was dilated and baby was coming….
The happiest day of my life came crashing down around me. Later that day we experienced the loss of our beloved daughter Savannah, at 17 weeks 5 days. She will forever be in our hearts.
We were fortunate in that the doctors were able to determine the cause of the early delivery and give us hope for the future. We were told to wait at least 6 months before trying again.
Six months later we were pregnant again, a cerclage was placed at 13 weeks in Seattle, to hopefully keep baby safe and sound inside. Forward to 20 weeks, we had an ultrasound to be sure there were no surprises before flying down to Seattle for a routine echocardiogram. No surprises! At 21 weeks 5 days we were at our ultrasound appointment in Seattle to make sure baby’s heart was healthy. Baby is a wiggly one! Ultrasound tech had to really work to get all the images they wanted. Baby this time, was a boy!
