Green, the color of life, renewal, nature, and energy, is associated with meanings of growth, harmony, freshness, safety, fertility
Some confusing emotions coming up during the repainting of the babies bedroom. I originally painted it with one of RTs grandfathers after we began telling everyone about our daughter Savannah that was to be born last year, with her premature birth and passing, and the gift of knowledge that would lead to the ability to save her little brothers life. We eventually reached the point where it was to become RTs room. Right before we left for Seattle, the room was starting to be reorganized, furniture played with to find the best layout. A new dresser to be refurnished.
RT and his sister never managed to be in their room in Alaska.
Strollers that have not been pushed, a car seat that has not been sat in. Cloth diapers that have not been worn. A crib that has not been slept in. A mattress still in the package.
Many well-loved hand me down clothing, toys, rockers and play things.
All waiting patiently to be moved.
Thank you friends for helping me fill the room with love, and now paint the room.
A farewell to the room, nothing else.
The walls are back to white, a blank slate for the next family.
