Went up to hospital early this morning.  RT was wide awake and yelling but not really angry just waiting on someone to come in and see why he was yelling. Goofy boy.

Diaper change.

Speech therapy arrives.  Feeding time.  

RT is confused at first I think.  But he realises quickly  and gets wiggly with excitement he gets to bottle feed!

Speech uses a stethoscope to listen for his suck swallow breath. He does one of each extremely fast,  some babies suck suck suck swallow breathe breathe breathe.

He does good.  But gets his timing off slightly a few times because he wants to go so fast.

He coughs but good coughs and really quick before he inhales anything.  He has a good cough reflux.  Speech is happy with how he is doing.

He smiles a few times he is liking this.

She only let’s him take two sucks then a break so that he has a chance to slow down.

He has been waiting his whole life to be able to mouth feed.

Now he is happy and relaxed and getting sleepy. His little arms are dropping down to his sides.

eventually he is too sleepy to feed safely so we stop.

15cc taken on his first ever bottle feed! Good job RT! Some work to do but a great place to start!

Dr. comes by and they decided to change to feedings every 4 hours.  80cc.

Amazing day some good cuddles.

Super stable.

Car seat, stroller, and diaper bag arrived today! We also got some more packages of baby clothes from friends! Thanks everyone!

NICU nurse tonight that had him early on. She is just so amazed by him! Gives him a big hug!
