Awesome day!
Still 1/2 LPM flow.  Turned down to 35%.

Retaped his nasal cannula so it didn’t pop out of his nose as easy.

I dont think I have to say photos inside because I assume everyone reads further, but just in case. photos inside.  Mom has been practicing with my camera! 

Today we moved rooms about 45 ft and we are on PEDS no longer a PICU patient.

Pulled his ND out and put in an NG, now he will get food in his stomach! started at 10 cc per hour.  Still constant feeds, hopefully his stomach is ready for this!

Morphine weaned some more!

Maybe in a few days he will be off morphine!

Might try lower flow tomorrow!

1700 tolerating feeds, bumped up to 20cc per hour! Full feeds for his fluid restriction,  if he tolerates this in a while we will start shortening his constant feeds to shorter intervals more like normal feeds.

Then we can actually try normal feeds by mouth starting really small!

Exciting progress!

He was really only upset when he lost his binky and during a diaper change,  other than that, he was more content with everything! Mom and I think it’s because he doesn’t feel hungry,  must be a good feeling after not getting any food in your stomach for over a month!

He continues to amaze everyone! (Amazing as a word does not do justice to what he is doing.)
