Woke up early this morning.  A phone appointment this morning.

48 minute phone call.

Then up to PICU.

RT is on 30% oxygen, his flow has been weaned again!

Turned down to 2 liters per minute!

Cares.
We have come down on flow quite quick really!  He seems to be tolerating it quite well! Amazingly well really! Better than anyone anticipated.

Looks like he had a good night!

Two night NICU nurses came by last night to check on him!

We have a nurse today that we have now had several times!

These nurses have really already fallen in love with RT!

It’s good to see how comfortable they are with him on high flow nasal cannula!

It’s good to see how comfortable he is on HFNC!

Lunch.

Cares.

Occupational therapist comes by and asks when a good time is, we tell her now works for us!

Stretches,  puts him on his belly,  he has the crawl instinct. Allows him to work on lifting his head.

His head is soo heavy when he tries to pick it up his feet lof up.

Side time some stretches.

She is really happy with how he is doing!

Some more stretches.

More homework for us to work on when she is not around!

Swaddle him up and mom’s turn to hold.

We watch Despicable Me.

Time to put him back,  cares binky time.

At one point he gets angry bares down and actually desats.not really sure what is making him mad.

Wean the morphine dose again,  could be that, could be the steroids,  could be his hernia. Could be upset tummy, needing to poop, hunger from food skipping his stomach and going straight to his small intestine.

Could be everything.

He calms down quick with some comforting,  could just be a baby getting angry as babies sometimes do, but there are many things that could be contributing.

Calmed down, swaddled, binky time.

Dinner.

Back up to PICU.

Doing good.

I hold him and we hang out,  occassionaly be gets mad.  But comforts quickly!

Eventally we put him back, do cares, stretches, swaddle him back up and binky time.

Then it’s time for us to try and go get some rest.

Love you amazing baby!
