Head to NICU a little earlier to be there for his eye exam.

RT is 16 weeks old today! Glad he is with us. We must be patient. Happy birthday little buddy!

Primary nurse!

He pooped on the nurses hand earlier this morning!

RT is on 22% oxygen! Amazing!  His PC over peep is lowered by 2. Down to 14. So now his PIP is only 22.

Weaned to 21% for a bit! Good boy! 

I have to make a few phone calls so I head out of NICU in hopes to do them before the eye doctor comes by.  As I’m leaving the NICU the eye doctor is coming in!

I ask him where he is starting. He says he can start at either end.  He can do RT first!

I go back in, doc is there shortly. Ready to go,  eye exam goes well.  RT is angry but hardly desats.

Everything is looking excellent,  normal scaring from laser surgery.  Rop, plus and rush still not coming back!

One more appointment in two weeks.  Then after that wait 6 months!

Woah!

Bumped up to 30% oxygen for exam to keep him from getting too low.

He settles down but is upset with us,  refuses to accept his binky.

His leak is bigger on his left side.  Vti 77, vte 11

That’s OK, we have to know if his eyes needed anything else. . Necessary unpleasantry.

Cares.

Hang out.

Lunch. Go to print a picture.  But I forgot the correct SD card for the picture we wanted. Whoops

NICU.

Weekly Family rounds, goes quick, doctor is one that we have not had in a while. Dr. Pretty much just says we are doing what the pulmanologist recomends.

Slow and steady. Grow and make new lung tissue.

I go and get the right SD card print photos and come back before the next set of cares.

Cares.no pee…

Skin to skin time with mom!

Goes smooth.  RT settles quick. Big eyes looking at mom. I should have taken a picture.

Weaned to 26% oxygen!

I go to grab the mail and send some emails,  make some calls. Work out.

Meet mom at hotel for dinner.

Skin to skin he desat when he had to fart like Normal but seemed more angry. Around 30% oxygen for most of skin to skin.

Anti gas medication isn’t helping much at all.

Dinner,  dessert to celebrate his birthday.

Back to NICU, he is on 31%.

Shift change, another primary nurse!

Unfortunately,  tomorrow will be her last night with RT, she is moving away.

RT is angrier during cares. 4 diapers because he keeps peeing every time I’m about to close his diaper.

Goofy boy,  just making it take longer.

Try and take some nice photos but he is angry.

We work on calming him down. Mom sits him up.  He likes it and looks around!

Eventally he settles down. We swaddle him up,

He gets angry again, give him his binky he loves it and he falls asleep quickly.

He seems more angry since last night.

Not sure why.

Obviously many possible reasons and speculations.

30% oxygen.
