Noticed I somehow titled the 1st of november the 4th when its only now the 2nd. Obviously tired.  Corrected it now.

I could pretty much copy and paste yesterday.

Today was much like yesterday. Down to having the same conversations just with different doctors. Apparently the ongoing discussion was not passed on by the doctors.

The pulmanologist has an even slower plan now. Does not make sense to me. Going to continue talking about it more with doctors, nurses, and respiratory therapists and at rounds tomorrow. 

Mom had skin to skin.

Higher oxygen needs today than yesterday. No poop yet.

Frustrated that I will likely have to have the same conversation several more times with different doctors.

They wanted to wean the rate again today.  So mom pointed out the pulmanologist wanted to go up on volume to have more normal breaths if we were going down on rate.

So they switched ventilar modes to SIMV pressure control pressure support.

Really just a side step.

By weaning rate it just means he has to do more breaths on his own rather than sit on backup mode,  difficult when he is on sedation.

He contunes to smile when we talk to him.

We love you so much RT!
