RT is 100 dais old! He is a *big boy now! I’m grateful we have made it this far!

2969 grams! That is 6lb 8.7 oz!  Most of it good weight! He is getting so big!

Primary nurse today!

45% oxygen.

We picked up a friend from the airport, that flew down to visit! It’s always good to see friends and familiar faces!

Lunch.

Mom does skin to skin and the friend hangs out with them.  39% oxygen.

I do some laundry and chores.

We meet up and do dinner

Then I head up to the NICU, almost passdown.

RT is on 52% oxygen,  I talk to the nurse about how we had discussed weaning one thing at a time then yesterday he had steroids and pressure go down because his xray looked so good. Wondering at what point we have to go back up on peep. She agrees with what I’m saying about him trending higher.  The doctor has been busy but will talk to him when he is available.

Suctioned oxygen turned up to 60%.

Doctor becomes available.  Doctor agrees peep back up from 7 to 8.

They are starting the liquid protein we have been talking about four the last couple days.  The nutritionist says it should not cause any issues…

Nurse tonight was going to be a primary but had to work a different position tonight unfortunately.  She will check on him though!

Instead the nurse tonight is one he only had once I think.

2000 cares 36.9, diaper just pee. Suctioned, CPT, he caughs a bunch of fluid up filing his ET tube, good boy! Suctioned,   turned,  belly time suctioned. High sat 100spo2!

Respiraroty therapists weans his oxygen. Fairly quick because he continues to sit at 100spo2.

2100 we get down to 25% oxygen! He is a happy boy,  lots of smiles for me!

He stays on 25% for 15 minutes then coughs and needs some more oxygen. Oxygen bumped up to 29, suctioned.

Sp02 after a while rides low turned up again 32% then 35 then 38

Eventally settles out at 39% oxygen. Suctioned again because his breathing is getting rattly.

He starts to high sat.

I hang out for a bit, chat with the nurse a little about what’s been going on Hopefully they have a good night together.

Yep is a good boy high satting.

2200 I say my good nights.

Time to get some rest!
