RT is 6 weeks old today, that is 42 days! 29 6/7 corrected gestation!

It seems things quieted down after last nights event. No phone call this morning.

He only has 4 recorded events since last night! Sounds like he had a stable night.

His weight is up to 1490 grams! 3lb 4.5 oz. still swollen in his face.

His oxygen percent is at 48% now.

They weaned some settings this morning.

A new type of medicine onboard to help with swelling.

His peep down to 7, pip down to 27, respiration rate is 40.

Small poop at 0200!

Feeds are coming up quick he is up to 15cc now.

Just pee at the other diaper changes.

1300 I call Tricare to add RT to Tricare prime remote. His name is listed as newborn boy… This means something they did yesterday at DEERS did not work. They can’t help me unless he has a name entered in the system.

I call and make another appointment for 0730 tomorrow. We aren’t allowed to do anything over the phone.

1400 cares temp is low, 36.0 diaper change just pee but a good weight. Nurse turns up the bed temp.

Infectious disease Dr. drops by. RT’s urine culture is in, it came back positive for yeast. She seems confident it is not inside his body because he is on antifungal medication that combats yeast, likely just from collection method… She says the cleanest way would be with a needle through the abdomen into his bladder. Not to that point yet…

Potentially start him on a topical medication for his bits to help combat it thriving in warm moist areas.

1600 diaper and temp again, temp is slowly coming up 36.1. Just pee. Turn up the temp a little more.

1700 temp check, 36.5 temp coming back up.

So far his temp is being the bigger thing of the day. I think this is a good sign.

Suctioned, re-swaddled and now at 47% oxygen.

Pretty stable day so far. Knock on wood.
