Our little guy continues to grow.

His weight is now 1450. Still really puffy.

He continues to tolerate his feeds. We have reached 27 CC. This is his max protocol. From here on the amount ge gets goes up with his weight and growing progress.

One thing he has to do is just keep healing and growing.

He continues to have an extremely rough time. They are trying many different things. His oxygen % is at 86%. pip is down to 27 from 28. Peep still at 8.

Culture from his ventilator tube came back with yeast. Started him on another antibiotic to combat this new issue.

Starting a new different steroid, that more directly targets his lungs.

The nurse today has been able to slowly wean him down. We are down to 76!

Time for cares, we start then it’s time for anothe X-ray to see if there is any change from yesterday.

Hopefully we havent lost any any recruitment of his lungs.

After the X-ray we complete his cares. I open his diaper and start wiping. He of course starts peeing, I manage to get my hand there and keep most of it contained in his new diaper.

I try again. This time just as I am about to close it he pees again, all in hisndiaper.

3rd time is the charm.

Change his bedding, reposition, suction.

His oxygen % needs are now up to 85%.

Dr comes by and says X-ray shows little change, potentially worsening.

Cranial ultrasound images have been reviewed. Grade 2 was a miscommunication. Blood was from the grade 4 on opposite side.

That was some unnecessary stress. thinking he had a new or unseen brain bleed.

We need a break through. We have to get free of this hole we are slipping into.
