After another 8 hours bedside.

I have to follow that post with he is ok.  But definately a set back.

But

RT survived another traumatic night in the NICU.

He has now beaten his 30% 30 day survival statistic.

Last night we had many issues.  Including but not limited to.  blood bubbles from the mouth. 230 bpm heart rate.  disconnecting from ventilator.  Number 9 blood transfusion started after 5 attempts to get an IV in.

Through everything he still persevered. The nurse tells us he has quite the NICU cred.

Finished off the night with another chest xray this morning. Hopefully it shows improvement.

He is trying to rest and that is what we have to try and do also.  So we shall try. Try is the only thing we can do. 

Every night is a blessing, every day is a gift.
