I ask the nurse If we can give him more tastes again.  I feel like it would be good to have him associate suckling and the taste of milk even if he can’t swallow it. She says it’s a good idea, at his morning feed I got to give RT tastes for my first time using a milk sponge on a stick. 

He suckles well! I could do this all day. We are not supposed to do it too long because it uses his energy to suckle with no caloric gain.

1600 mom gets to do skin to skin, almost 4 hours! It’s hard work being a good pillow. We have to plan ahead with drinking less water when its our turn.  We don’t want to cut skin time short due to having to pee. His IV lines and vent tubes get tangled easy but the move between the incubator and chair go smoothly this time with a standing transfer.

I of course work here on my blog to try and catch up. I have time.

During 8pm cares his weight is 1110. Good he appears to be getting rid of some water weight.
