Yesterday we saw two guys try and pay with a fake 100$ bill at ihop while we were getting lunch.  They both left then, They called the cops but the police never came. One of the guys ended up coming back and paying for the meal wit reAL money. I wonder if they knew it was fake but ended up feeling guilty?

0200 mommy is pumping. Then ambulance after ambulance cop car after cop car drives past our window and stops around the corner infront of hotel.  Eventually it quiets down and we are able to get to sleep till the next pumping session at 5am.

1200 RT and mom get to do son to skin again today for 3 hours. It goes well,  they are able to turn down support settings on his ventilator.

Nurses say they can’t hardly hear his heart murmur anymore.  This hopefully indicates that the PDA is closing/ closed,.  Maybe the new medication is working!  Although on the other hand we have been told a loud murmur can indicate a shrinking PDA due increased velocity and turbulence through a smaller hole.  Fingers crossed.

1830 while the wife is pumping again we briefly turn on the news for the first time watching TV since arriving in this hotel room.  Earlier this morning at 2am there was a woman non fatally shot on the corner of Broadway and Madison.

Lovely that’s what all the ambulances and cop cars we had out front were about.  I’m glad you have to use a key card to go up elevator.  We won’t be moving into any worse hotel from now on, it’s not worth the risk.

I wonder why she was shot,  was it gang related? Or am I at risk every time I walk back and forth between hospital and hotel at all hours.
