Went and got a po box took much longer than we thought it would because the computer was not working.  His blood gas numbers have been high so they continue turning up ventilator. Install a new IV today and start him on IV ibuprofen and blood transfusion number 5. This could also help his blood gas numbers get rid of Co 2 more efficently and require a lower oxygen percent on vent.

Start up emulsified lipids again.  Another cranial ultrasound today to look at IHV.

1408 cranial ultrasound results show up.  Written interestingly.   They see “evolution”. We read this as progressing forwards not worsening,  and showing what happens normally after an IHV.

I still want to hear it’s not as bad as we thought,  It’s miraculously better but I realize this isn’t reality.  We will just have to wait and see what it effects.

It still doesn’t seem to be effecting him as far as we can tell.  His motor functions are still working from what I can tell.  He can grab onto my fingers with both hands.  His grip seems strong.  He suckles on his breathing tube or when we give him milk popsicle sponge tastes. He shields his eyes from bright light.  He turns his head towards noise. He seems smart and aware of what is going on around him.

He occasionally twitches but we are told this is relatively normal for babies learning muscles.

To me it appears the damage is not effecting him currently. But we are warned it can cause damage to the cognitive portions of his brain.  Which he “doesn’t use or has not made yet.”

Keep on healing please!
