The nurses took a cute picture of RT for us last night and made another little poster to put behind his incubator. It makes us laugh.  We are lucky to have such great nurses!

When they took his blood gas this morning his co2 levels were too high so they had to turn up his support settungs on the ventilator again. This seems to have helped, they were tending the correct direction the next time they checked. They will be checking again around 1600.

They put him on flow vent to help reduce inflammation in the lungs and hopefully get him breathing better.

Today so far we have been seeing less fluid coming out of lungs during suction. Now his weight went up to 780 grams. He is now 90 grams heavier than his birth weight! They think it might be weight gain partially due to edema… I think he looks good though.

They also upped his feeding volume to 8cc!

2149  RT is weighed again.  Now he is up to 810 grams.

The Dr. On duty came by while doing rounds and says he thinks RT had a good day.

Time to go back to the hotel to pump and get a few hours of sleep.

Tomorrow we move hotels again. This time to a hotel  that’s about a 6 minute walking distance to hospital. We won’t be getting any more hospital wide announcements in our room while we try and sleep after tonight! Hopefully a little more space, cleaner and with air conditioning!  It’s been hot in Seattle.

CG chaplain is coming tomorrow between hotel moves.  Have to be checked out by 11, can’t check in till 2. This time I put some things in my parents hotel room to make packing the car easier.
