This morning we are told that during suction they have been getting a large amount of fluid from his lungs and some blood, likely from irritation from his breathing tube and re-intubation.

It is not causing any large issues with his breathing but they have had to start turning up support on the ventilator slightly.

2025 A small victory today.  Ryan opened both his eyes and saw his mother for the very first time!  Also his bilirubin leven came down to within range and they turned off his lamp. They also doubled the amount he gets at feeding time to 2cc every 3 hours now!
