Wake up to wife saying she is having a sore back,  and light bleeding is back. We were told we didn’t need to come back to hospital unless having heavy bleeding and contractions.  This time we are in a hotel 2 blocks from hospital incase anything goes sideways.

1703 Sideways comes fast. Cramps got worse. Wife is told on the phone to come to triage birthing. We hurry to the hospital. The two lights we have to go through are red and of course the lights seem to take forever to change. Longest 5 minute drive of my life. We arrive at the hospital and search for triage birthing. 

They take here temp… it’s 100. 

1758 cramps are contractions.  Baby is likely coming. We have to make it to 24 weeks! 2 more days little boy just 2 more days.

IV started, antibiotics began. Tylenol to help reduce fever.

They push the first dose of steroids to hopefully develope babys lungs faster. We are told prior to 24 weeks if he survives delivery he will be in the NICU till 42 weeks and has a 30% 30 day survival rate. If we make it to 24 weeks 75% 30 day survival rate. They think there is an infection in stitches.  Contractions are starting to tear through cerclage/cervix. 1 cm dilation.  We are at 23 weeks 5 days. The stitches have to be removed.  Just please hang in there baby

Skream – Anticipate 

Everything is happening so fast again. 

 1837 cerclage is removed,  wife dilated to 3 cm.

We still have a chance baby just please stay inside a little longer.

1934.  4 cm dilated. Preliminary infection came back negative but white blood cell count is high. Doctors confused. NICU Dr comes and talks about probability of a good outcome. He says baby has a 35-45% 30 day survival rate. Possibility of many complications to come. If baby comes after 24 he says % goes up to 75%. They don’t count days and add percent it’s just 23 weeks till 24 weeks hit. This doesnt make sense. There is no calendar, switch or knob on babys that clicks over to 75% when the clock hits midnight. But in his eyes it does. 

Your wrong Mr Dr. My baby has a 75% chance of being a bad ass, he is a fighter, a lover and my son. No matter what happens he is my son and we love him.

2200. Contractions have gotten stronger. Epidural on the way 6cm dilated.

I can feel it the boy is a strong one.
