I impatiently wait for the wifes status to update on the TV in the surgery waiting room still not knowing if the surgeon will be able to put in any more stitches safely.

 If they can’t put in stitches how much time to we have?

Surgery started 1044. 

1157 I receive a call telling me wife is in recovery stage 1 she will be sent up to a room and I should wait for her there.

1345 the wife is rolled in still numb from having spinal done. They were able to put in a few stitches and get the length up to 2.7 cm. 

We are blessed and can keep baby in longer! Baby did well through surgery! Time to try and get some rest between the poking and prodding of the amazing nurses! Ultrasound in the morning to make sure everything is holding. 

We keep being told 24 weeks is the magic number to hit.

The next morning july 8th after some bad hospital sleep. We weel the wife off to look again. Baby is doing well but cervix is down to 2cm still far better than the 1.1. I have the surgeon fax my work a letter explaining circumstances. Work is being amazing and providing some much needed support and understanding! 

We are to be discharged later in the day.
